We are a Fairtrade Church!

There are lots of ways to support Fairtrade, but just two core requirements to be awarded Fairtrade Place of Worship status.

1.  Use Fairtrade products wherever possible (at least tea, coffee and sugar) and share information about Fairtrade products with the wider congregation.

2.  Integrate Fairtrade into the life of your place of worship, at Fairtrade Fortnight or other times of the year. For example through events, stalls and worship.

We fulfil these requirements and have therefore been awarded Fairtrade Church status by the Fairtrade Foundation.

Our certificate is now displayed in the church.

We have a monthly Fairtrade Stall at St Giles, usually on the third Sunday of the month, after Mass.

We shall be marking the Fairtrade Foundation's 30th Birthday during Fairtrade Fortnight which will run from 9th - 24th September.
