Christ Church

Dear Church Visitor

Whether you are a virtual or actual visitor, then welcome.  The church is open daily from10am until 4pm for private prayer. We offer a quiet place to sit away from the noise and distractions of the world.

Our regular services are Holy Communion at 9am on the first Sunday of each month, and a less formal family worship at 10am on the third Sunday led by members of the congregation. There will be extra services for special events in the church year such as Christmas, Easter and Plough Sunday.

We are currently looking for volunteers to supplement our existing team doing the chores to maintain the church, making it welcoming for worshippers and visitors. If you would like to put your skills and efforts to good use, please telephone Linda on the PCC, 01598763626. More here.

If you are on holiday here and visiting the area, you will be very welcome at any of our services.

Visitors are very welcome. If you are a passing walker or cyclist, you may be grateful for somewhere to make running repairs. You will find a small box of useful items just inside the door on the table on the left.

You can find the latest Mission Community Newsletter in the News and Notices menu under Notice Sheets.

Safeguarding

"Our parish of Parracombe: Christ Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact our PSO, Linda Highton, 07726 776657 or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (Details in the link below). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
