St Brendan
Dear Church Visitor,
The church of St Brendan stands rather remotely at the top of a steep hill and some distance from the village of Brendon. There are currently no regular services but there are services to celebrate major festivals in the church year such as Harvest Festival and a carol service. Parishioners are welcome to join the congregation at other churches in the Lyn Mission. There are often invitations to join the congregation at The Blessed Virgin Mary at Oare which for many is more convenient in travelling distance.
The image on the home page is the intricately carved reredos behind the altar, the work of John William Floyd 1871 - 1935, a craftsman carpenter who made it his life's work to produce wood carvings for the church.

Christ Church
Dear Church Visitor
Whether you are a virtual or actual visitor, then welcome. The church is open daily from10am until 4pm for private prayer. We offer a quiet place to sit away from the noise and distractions of the world.
Our regular services are Holy Communion at 9am on the first Sunday of each month, and a less formal family worship at 10am on the third Sunday led by members of the congregation. There will be extra services for special events in the church year such as Christmas, Easter and Plough Sunday.
We are currently looking for volunteers to supplement our existing team doing the chores to maintain the church, making it welcoming for worshippers and visitors. If you would like to put your skills and efforts to good use, please telephone Linda on the PCC, 01598763626. More here.
If you are on holiday here and visiting the area, you will be very welcome at any of our services.
Visitors are very welcome. If you are a passing walker or cyclist, you may be grateful for somewhere to make running repairs. You will find a small box of useful items just inside the door on the table on the left.
