Many of you will have heard yesterday's government briefing which communicated the latest tightening of behaviours and restrictions in response to the national Covid situation.

This includes the mandatory wearing of face masks in places of worship - which we have maintained voluntarily. The statement on the Church of England website says that the team are studying the detail of the newest restrictions and will update information for churches today. The Archdeacons of our diocese are running a Zoom meeting on Monday night to help clergy and church officers understand what is necessary on the ground in light of the latest policy. After that, should it be necessary, I will liaise with PCCs regarding our Christmas plans and events. As ever, keep yourself and others safe,
