There has been a 5-year health and safety inspection of St John’s upper yard gravestones in July2023 by a qualified inspector. Those which are unsafe will be laid down in 3 months’ time from thatdate unless repaired by the family. This has been an expensive task (£834) as many have had to bepropped up temporarily by Mr Tucker.Here is a list of all the names on the memorials since 1970 of whom we have no known contact. Afurther 34 will require inspection in a year’s time. Please contact us if you are able to carry out arepair or if you know a contact in the district whom the PCC could get in touch with. We are mostanxious to find any kith and kin.Names are:- Agnew, Burnett, Cotterill, Culverwell, Dudley, Ford, Harding, Holbeche, Holland, Isaac,Lamey, Morton, Mugridge, Rawlinson, Rawstron, Richardson, Roger, Seyfert, Stockwell, Tomlin.We have been in touch with Beer, Cramp, Orton, Rawstron, Spencer, Tythcott, and Woolawayfamilies as we have contact details. To date only one of these has been in touch with Stevens,Monumental Masons. If no action is taken regarding any of the monuments on the list, Mr Tucker isobliged to lay them down in November 2023.
