About Us
St Edmund's Church is one of the three churches in the Kingsbridge Estuary Churches Mission Community.
The building was consecrated in 1414, although a chapel existed on the site from the early 13th century.
The Church has a three-manual pipe organ over 150 years old, a bell tower with a peal of 8 bells and a number of attractive and unique stained glass windows. For more details please see A brief History tour of St Edmunds.
Access to the Church and Church grounds is via the steep and narrow steps between the Merlin Cinema and the Shambles.
The nearest church with ramp access for wheel chair users is at St Thomas of Canterbury : Church Street, Dodbrooke, Devon, TQ7 1NW
The church is open for Private Prayer on Wednesday from 10..0am - 2.00pm. Please see the Services and Events Page to find out about church and on line services. We look forward to welcoming you.
