St Peter's, Cornworthy
The church of St Peter in Cornworthy stands at the head of the descending street, commanding the village below. When, before the middle of the 13th century, the Priory rose above the western end of the same street, the view must have been a powerful one for village inhabitants.
Regular public worship is provided free of charge and is open to all. Details of forthcoming services are given on the noticeboard at the entrance.

St John's, Bridgetown
St John’s is located near the River Dart in Bridgetown and serves the community of through services, a weekly community cafe (every Wednesday), mindfulness crafting, regular events (exercise, music, heritage, interest groups), concerts, the Totnes and Bridgetown Community Choir, local citizens advice, Totnes caring monthly lunch club and a hot potato cafe in the colder months. St John's also houses Stepping Stones, the local food bank and lunch club.
A weekly sacramental service is held and undertaken in compliance with common worship but without a choir. See below in our What's On Calendar.
Services are less formal which offers young families a space to worship in peace while their little ones enjoy the bright but calming space. We facilitate a great number of activities that promote a healthy mind, body and spirit for adults and children within the community. Find all the details for these events and more in the calendar below.
St John's has developed a friendly, informal and flexible style of worship that is truly unique and inviting. All are welcome through our doors and we look forward to meeting you. We are open most days in the week, so do pop in and see what's going on.

Parish and Priory Church of St Mary the Virgin
St Mary’s is a significant landmark here in Totnes with its red tower and defining pinnacles that reach high above the neighbouring buildings. It’s a visual delight for lovers of architecture, photography and history, but also for all that live here and for those who visit the town each year.
Inside, St Mary’s really leaves its mark on those who pass through the doors. This space of purpose is where history, music and the sacred entwine. You can feel it when you step inside. The church has witnessed many challenges and has stood through massive social upheavals.
Today, as the times change again, St Mary's remains a place for sanctuary, wisdom and learning, for all that is most profound in the human spirit. This remains the principal function of the building and needs to be protected. Christian congregations worship here but our doors and hearts are open to other faiths and many individuals come to pray, light candles and just sit in stillness and silence.
