The work of reordering has begun! We have appointed Ellis & Co. as our principal contractors and they have begun work on site. Initially Craig and his team will focus on protecting the rood screen, the organ and the monuments inside the church and lifting the pews. Because the pews were built in situ, each has to be dismantled and reassembled. We will be retaining the central set with Harry Hems' carved bench ends and reusing the wood from others. Shorter pews will be found new homes, including Totnes museum but we need to do a bit of work on them first so they can be free standing. Photos and weekly updates will appear on our dedicated web site for the project.

Sadly this means our beloved church will be closed for most of 2025 but we look forward to welcoming you in time for Christmas.
