As Jesus gathered with his dearest friends and followers in the upper room, on the night before he was handed over and crucified, the shared meal and symbolic acts which he left them, and us, became a gift which unites us, challenges us, comforts us, and strengthens us. On Maundy Thursday, in a calm reflective act of worship, we recall in Communion that deeply moving fellowship meal, and our Lord’s powerful command to love one another. Also the Stripping of the Altar then watch until midnight

Our Brixham Mission Community

Safeguarding

Our parish of Brixham: St Mary is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO ** to be added**. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
