A service to mark the traditional start of the agricultural year to bless and to give thanks for all those who work on the land.

St John the Baptist

Welcome to the Church of St John the Baptist in Plymtree.  Our church is at the heart of the community.

There are regular Sunday services normally at 9.30am or 11.00am.  These include two Communion services each month as well as Morning Prayer and Family Worship on other Sundays.  Please see the calendar for details of actual services, which are usually based on Common Worship.   Most services are taken by our Priest in Charge, Revd Nigel Candelent or our Associate Priest, Revd Jane Penn.  Some services are also lay led.

Everyone is welcome to our services.

The Church building is usually open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm.  You are very welcome to enter the church at those times.

Please use our "Get in touch" section from the ‘A Church near you’ link  if you have any questions or need help or assistance.  (Emails go to the churchwarden)

If you are making a donation for a particular cause (eg in memory of a person or for a special appeal) please let us know by using the “Get in touch” section from the ‘A Church near you’ link. Thank you.

Safeguarding is an important concern of our parish and Mission Community.  Please select the Safeguarding tab for details of our policy and our contacts.
