Thy Kingdom Come - Celtic Prayer

Occuring
for 20 mins
Venue
St James, Christow
Address

In the days between the Ascension of Our Lord on Thursday 18 May and Pentecost on Sunday 28 May we will be praying Thy Kingdom Come! - a national initiative where we specifically pray for five people we would like to be touched by the Holy Spirit and led to faith. We will be holding a short (20 minute) service of Evening Prayer at 6pm daily from Friday 19 to Friday 26 May on the telephone, using our usual connection: call 0333 0110 616; code 334 7721.

Please bring a length of ribbon or string with you - we will tie knots to remember the five people to hold in our prayers. We will also take this opportunity to pray for our village communities that the Holy Spirit will inspire us all with new energy to help establish the Kingdom of God in our world.
Between 5:50pm and 5:55pm please dial 0333 011 0616 and enter the code 334 7721 when asked. The order of service is attached.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Christow: St James is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO.

If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (contact details for both can be found at the link below).

If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
