A big thank you to Richard Quick for the beautiful and caring way the railings have been repaired adjoining the Old Rectory. Over the last few months Richard has painstakingly renewed and repaired the railings to ensure that they solid for another hundred years or more! The grounds are always beautifully maintained by Richard and the his good friends John, Steve & Simon Land. The small wooden garden shed has been renovated, the composting area revamped and the hedges layered. With the new rose bed established the grounds are looking immaculate.
Thanks to the remarkable generosity of the Land Brothers and Richard Quick, the rear boundary has been tidied, repaired and pruned. Over the coming months as the hedge springs into life, new shoots will make thicken the hedge and form it into its new shape. The railings have also been cleared of brambles and undergrowth. The area is a wonderful place to spend a quiet half hour with outstanding views over the surrounding countryside. If you have a few minutes, come and walk around the church grounds. There's no better place to be closer to God, than in His garden.
