Thanks to the remarkable generosity of the Land Brothers and Richard Quick, the rear boundary has been tidied, repaired and pruned. Over the coming months as the hedge springs into life, new shoots will make thicken the hedge and form it into its new shape. The railings have also been cleared of brambles and undergrowth. The area is a wonderful place to spend a quiet half hour with outstanding views over the surrounding countryside. If you have a few minutes, come and walk around the church grounds. There's no better place to be closer to God, than in His garden.

A beautiful sunlight Morning Prayers service was held today, Sunday 9th November led by Rt Rev Dr Oliver Simon at St Cuthberts. The swallows flew overhead and the sun shone magnificently on us as we sat in the church grounds enjoyings the remarkable scenic views of the countryside. The grounds of St Cuthbert's church are immaculately maintained by local residents making this the most wonderful setting for worship, weddings or just walking around the grounds and enjoying the view.
