During the current Pandemic we are observing all government restrictions and Covid requirements. The church is open where possible and services are taking place with appropriate safeguards when we can.

St Andrews is a beautiful Victorian village church. We are a small but welcoming community in the East Devon countryside serving the village of Chardstock and surrounding hamlets. We are part of the Axe Valley Mission Community so we generally have a couple of services a month in the church; a Eucharist and a more informal one, with others at neighbouring parishes in the AVMC. We have a monthly coffee morning and in the summer a produce stall to sell surplus garden produce in aid of church funds. We also have a well-used community bookstall. Our lady chapel is set up as a prayer space for quiet prayer and contemplation. The church itself is popular for weddings and is used for occasional concerts and partakes as a hub in village events.
