The Parish of Halberton is situated to the east of Tiverton, equidistant from Taunton and Exeter, with easy access to the M5 corridor of Exmoor and Dartmoor and the beautiful south and north Devon coastlines.
St. Andrew’s Church, a Grade 1 listed building, dates back to the 13th Century, with a 12th century pulpit and font and a 15th century screen. It is located at the centre of the village and is adjacent to the village Primary School.
St Andrew's is a church whose worship ethos is broadly traditional. It has 30 Electoral Roll Members and 5 PCC members. Eucharistic vestments are used and it has a mature and faithful congregation. Services are held each month with the Halberton Methodist Church.The first Sunday is an Anglican led joint Holy Communion Service at St Andrews and the third Sunday is a Family Service led by the Methodists in the Village Hall. The service of Morning Prayer on the second Sunday is usually lay-led.
