As Christmas Day draws closer so we begin to look forward in greater anticipation to celebrating the birth of Jesus in a stable in Bethlehem more than 2000 years ago. The Christ Child, the tiny baby in the manger, is God’s gift of himself, meeting us in our fear, embracing us in our pain and celebrating with us in our joy. That is good news for us and for our world. So, with the shepherds and wise men, let us celebrate Christmas. On Saturday, 6.00pm, the Bradninch Festival Choir invite us to join them for a Celebration of Christmas. We can look forward to an evening of carols and Christmas songs, plus mulled wine and mince pies during the interval. Monday evening sees us at The Castle, at 8.00pm for an evening of Beer & Carols. Wednesday is the day for the Messy Church Christmas Party. It’s at the Baptist Church starting with a family party from 3.30pm. On Friday we have our lovely Carols by Candlelight with organist Alex West. Then on Christmas Eve we have a donkey service at 6.00pm. Come early and meet Issachar. Midnight Communion is at 11.30pm. And on Christmas morning, there will be a service of Holy Communion at 9.00am. Click on the Services and events page for more information on these and all our forthcoming events and services.
