Journey with us as we remember the events of the Last Supper and the Passion in a quiet, Reflective Communion service in the church hall at 7.30pm on Maundy Thursday. On Good Friday we will be joining with our friends from the Baptist Church for a Walk of Witness, starting at the Baptist Church at 2.00pm. Our walk and worship will be followed by hot cross buns and drinks in the church hall. On Easter Day there will be a Sunrise Service at 6.00am at Christ Cross, Silverton and then we're back at St Disen's Church for a celebratory Communion Service to mark the day of resurrection. Sunday 13th March is Palm Sunday, the start of Holy Week. Join with us as we gather outside the Guildhall at 10.15am to walk down to St Disen's Church following Issachaar the donkey, in celebration of Jesus' entry into Jerusalem riding on a donkey, while the crowds waved palm branches, shouting 'Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord'. Sunday 30th March is Mothering Sunday. We'll be having a special All Age Service on that morning at 10.30am to give thanks for and celebrate those precious to us, especially the women, who have cared for us and nurtured us. Refreshments will be available in the church hall afterwards.
Praying God's blessing on the land and those who work it.The Devon Farming Community Network's Plough Service for 2025 will be held in St Disen's Church at 3.00pm on Sunday, 9th February.
