Christian Aid Week
Big Brekkie Saturday 11 May 2024
Following our very successful Big Brekkie last year, You are invited to enjoy the Brekkie at St Luke’s Church Rooms, School Lane, Countess Wear, on Saturday 11 May. There will be two sittings: 9.00 - 10.00 and 10.00 - 11.00.
The full English breakfast will be cooked again by our expert chefs – Tony and Dorothy Raven and a team of energetic helpers – making use of our wonderful kitchen facilities. We can look forward to a treat!
The breakfast is free but diners are asked to make a donation towards Christian Aid. Envelopes will be provided and donations will be gift-aidable.
We will need volunteers to help with the Brekkie – help will be needed with setting up the tables, waiting on tables, and washing and cleaning up.
There will be lists placed in St Luke’s and St Margaret’s churches for you to sign up to your preferred shift. Money donations towards the food would also be welcome.
Envelopes will be available in the churches for you to make a donation for Christian Aid Week even if you are unable to attend the Brekkie.
Please contact Jill Allen (01392 877195 or [email protected]) at St Luke’s or Tony Raven (01392 875150 or [email protected]) at St Margaret’s.

St Margaret's Church, Topsham

A very warm welcome to you.

The churches of St Margaret's Topsham and St Luke's Countess Wear work together with our Vicar Revd Louise Grace and leadership team to outreach to both areas. Our mission values spring forth from the two great commandments, to Love God and to love our neighbours as ourselves. We aspire to be faithful in worship and prayer, whilst outward looking in service to our communities. Our charism is to be inclusive and generous in spirit and hospitality. Did anyone say cake?

We hope you will find these webpages helpful and inspiring. Find information about our services and other events, music; news and notices; provision for families; prayer ideas; a Daily Reflection each day; Zoom links to join our online services; a donations page to allow you to make donations easily online; opportunities to volunteer, and lots more news about the church and how to contact us.

There are several pages to look at on the left-hand side of the screen. In some cases, a section contains more than one page, so remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the arrow in order to navigate to the next page.

We hope to see you at our services and other events. Everyone is very welcome. And please do get in touch if you need any spiritual or pastoral support, or someone to pray with or for you, or simply just a listening ear.

Blessings and warmest wishes to all.
