On Sunday 29th of January, St Margaret's Church holds a Special Gift Day raising funds to install and improve better facilities for the congregation and community. It marks the start of a month-long fund raise. To be able to access large grants, we first need to prove we have the community and congregation engagement and financial support to install these necessary facilities.
Why? So we can continue to provide the much needed and much appreciated, welcoming and inclusive space for everyone:
"When I arrived in Devon, I took some time finding a church where I would feel comfortable, and gradually I was drawn to St Margaret’s. It clearly had a strong choral tradition, a lively atmosphere and was well rooted in the community."

So

How much money do we need to raise in total? £360 000 -£400 000.

What are we aiming to raise with the fundraise throughout February? £60 000

What will the money be spent on?
- Installing toilets and circulation (£59K)
- Installing a kitchen with proper plumbing and better facilities (£38K)
- Better accessibility (entrance) and comfort once in the church (£96 000)
- Installing low energy lighting and up-to-date audio-visual equipment (£73 000)
- Improving the multi-space ensuring different groups can make appropriate and inclusive use of the Church (£107 000)

St Margaret's Church, Topsham

A very warm welcome to you.

The churches of St Margaret's Topsham and St Luke's Countess Wear work together with our Vicar Revd Louise Grace and leadership team to outreach to both areas. Our mission values spring forth from the two great commandments, to Love God and to love our neighbours as ourselves. We aspire to be faithful in worship and prayer, whilst outward looking in service to our communities. Our charism is to be inclusive and generous in spirit and hospitality. Did anyone say cake?

We hope you will find these webpages helpful and inspiring. Find information about our services and other events, music; news and notices; provision for families; prayer ideas; a Daily Reflection each day; Zoom links to join our online services; a donations page to allow you to make donations easily online; opportunities to volunteer, and lots more news about the church and how to contact us.

There are several pages to look at on the left-hand side of the screen. In some cases, a section contains more than one page, so remember to scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the arrow in order to navigate to the next page.

We hope to see you at our services and other events. Everyone is very welcome. And please do get in touch if you need any spiritual or pastoral support, or someone to pray with or for you, or simply just a listening ear.

Blessings and warmest wishes to all.
