We meet together in St Margaret's Church every Tuesday and Friday

Worship on Zoom - Eucharistic or a Service of the Word.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, since early days Christians have observed with great devotion the time of our Lord’s passion and resurrection and prepared for this by a season of penitence and fasting.

By carefully keeping these days, Christians take to heart the call to repentance and the assurance of forgiveness proclaimed in the gospel, and so grow in faith and in devotion to our Lord.

I invite you, therefore, in the name of the Church, to the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance; by prayer, fasting, and self-denial; and by reading and meditating on God’s holy word.

A time for parents and children to come together in church. Coffee and chat for families and we provide a safe place to grow, be curious, and be supported by other caregivers and the core staff. Most of all, it's a fun environment to get messy!

Each week at St Margaret's Church we celebrate the Eucharist. All are welcome to join us. Sunday 5th January we celebrate Epiphany, the coming of the Kings.

The fourth Sunday is a more Family Friendly Service and for information go to the Family Communion page.

On the second and fourth Sunday of the month, St Margaret's Church hosts a Choral Evensong following the Book of Common Prayer (BCP) order of service. This starts at 6.30pm unless otherwise indicated in the Newsletter.

A time for parents and carers with babies to come together, have coffee and discuss. Giving support to each other helps both parties. Jan Renwick gives a lead in this group.

On the second Monday of the month at 2.30 pm

Julian meetings are held all over the world to foster the practice and teaching of meditation and contemplative prayer within the Christian tradition.

It is a chance to still oneself from the busyness of life, to enter into deep silence, stillness. Many people repeat a word quietly to centre their prayer and as the mind may wander, come back to the word.

We start with music to steady our thoughts. This leads us into our 40 minutes of silence and then music once again to lead us out from the depths of stillness. We then finish with tea and cake and chat.

If you would like to come along and give it a go, you can be sure of a very warm welcome as we enter silence together. We look forward to meeting you.

Every 3rd Sunday of the month, BCP at St Margaret's

The two churches come together on the 3rd Sunday of the month for a communion service. We alternate between St Margaret's Church and St Luke's Church. On the 16th February we will be at St Luke's Church.

Prayer Breakfast

A simple breakfast, a hymn, short reading & open or silent prayers of the heart.

Each month focusing upon an aspect of the mission community ministry and outreach.

This is the day in Holy Week when we celebrate the Last Supper during which Jesus washed the disciples feet.

A meditation to remember the day Jesus died on the cross. The service combines choral music, hymns and readings.

A Service of Meditation of words and music to remember Christ Crucified.

Christ is risen. There will be a Service at St Luke's and at St Margaret's both at 10.00am

‘Open the Story at St Luke’s Forest School’ is held in the grounds of Countess Wear Community School. A bible story is explored with lively activities planned. It culminates in discussion, prayer and a song round a bonfire. There are regularly twenty to thirty people of all ages attending, and sometimes more. The majority of these are children but it is a whole family event.
The theme each Sunday changes.
