Christingle Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St Nicolas Anglican Church at the British Embassy, Ankara
Address
The British Embassy Şehit Ersan Caddesi 46/A Çankaya Ankara, Türkıye, 06680, Türkiye

A Christingle service is a joyful celebration that brings families and communities together. Christingles are oranges wrapped in red tape, decorated with dried fruit or sweets, with a candle on the top. During the service, each person makes a Christingle and the candles are all lit to create a warm, magical glow symbolising the light of Christ and bringing hope to people living in darkness.
Each element of a Christingle has a special meaning and helps to tell the Christian story.

Safeguarding

The parish of Ankara is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Europe’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
