We are delighted to announce that Commander Christopher Moorey RN, the Naval and Air Attache in the British Embassy in Ankara, has been appointed an Officer of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the Military Division of The Queen's Birthday Honours.Chris is currently serving as Churchwarden in the Church of St Nicolas, a position to which he has brought the competence, dedication, and tenacity with which he has performed his military duties.He thoroughly deserves our thanks and congratulations.

On 6th December we were joined by Saint Nicolas himself. He told us about his life and work.Traditionally St Nicolas was born in 270 A.D., so this is a special anniversary year for him.St Nicolas was Bishop of Myra. It was a great joy to celebrate his feast in the land of his birth.
