9th February, 11:30am Holy Eucharist for 4th Sunday before Lent

We have four Sundays this year between the end of Epiphany and the start of Lent, and these help us to set the scene for Lent.

Today, 9th February, 4th Sunday before Lent, the gospel reading takes us to the call of the disciples, a group of fishermen. Do they know what they are getting into? How do they even begin to become Christ's disciples?

As we approach Lent, we need to ask ourselves the same questions. What does it mean for us to follow Christ? How do we even begin to become Christ's disciples? How will we use these 40 days to prepare to walk with Christ on the way of the cross?
