1st September, Eucharist for Fourteenth Sunday after Trinity (NB new time: 1130am!)

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
St George's Church, Malaga
Address
St George's Church, Malaga, Avenida de Pries 1 Malaga, 29016, Spain

The readings at this time of year cover Jesus' miracles and teaching. This is where we meet the Jesus of the every day, the Jesus of farmers and fisherman, who told stories of lost sheep, a man beaten up by the roadside, a ponsy landowner, fishers of men, treasure buried in a field, seed sown by the wayside, or, as in today's gospel, where the Pharisees complain that his disciples are not adhering to the strict requirements of the law as they haven´t washed their hands properly before eating, and Jesus goes onto explain it is what comes out of a man that defiles him, not what goes in. Our God is a God of the people, not in far off Jerusalem, but walking every day through the fields, and along the shores, of Galilee.

WELCOME TO ST GEORGE'S CHURCH THIS ASCENSIONTIDE👑

St George's is an Anglican (Episcopalian) Church and we serve the city of Málaga and surrounding areas. If you are living in Málaga, visiting on holiday or a part-time resident, you will find a warm welcome here.

Our congregation is part of the Málaga Chaplaincy. We meet in Málaga and Salinas: two churches within one Chaplaincy. Click here for the Chaplaincy website and details of our sister congregation.

This is the season as we move from Easter when we remember the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ to Pentecost when his Holy Spirit is given to the disciples. In between is Ascensiontide, when the risen Christ is taken bodily up into Heaven.

Listen to Majesty, an Ascension song by Maranatha Music.
