Relaunch of Planned Giving Scheme, Count Me In

Notices Church_news From_the_Vicar

In October last year at our Harvest Festival, we launched Count Me In, an initiative to encourage people to donate to the church on a regular basis through bank transfer. We  would like to give particular thanks to those who joined up then. Regular and consistent giving enables the church to plan forward, and that means we can use our funds more efficiently, so the money goes much further.

At Harvest Festival this year – on Sunday 13th October - we renewed our commitment to Count Me In. Harvest is the time that we remember all that God gives us, and we respond by sharing that generosity with others. So it is a good time to remind ourselves that generosity lies at the heart of our faith, and think seriously about the use that we make of our time, our skills and our money, and how we could give something to the church, and our care of God’s creation.

Last year Count Me In made a good start, but we now need to do more. We are very grateful for all who came forward at Harvest this year and expressed interest. We know this is not easy and we are so thankful for your generosity – in terms of money, skills and time, but also for your prayers and your fellowship.

If you have not yet had the chance to sign up for Count Me In, you can still do so. The brochure can be downloaded here and you can sign up using the paper form (download here) or directly online by following links to the relevant webpages here.

Either way, Fr Hilary is available to help and can be contacted via email here.

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of life, love and your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to be generous in return, and support our church as it seeks to serve you and proclaim the Gospel afresh to each generation. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen
