As the church's year draws to a close and a new year begins on Advent Sunday, it is a good time to take stock. What are the things for which we want to give thanks to God?
The Chaplaincy has had a year of amazing events - concerts, choral music and events to showcase what the church can offer. Here in Salinas our congregation is growing and we have rebuilt our website from scratch. We now look forwad to the season of Christmas and the coming new year with excitement and joy. .
But as we give thanks to God, we want to thank you, our congregation, for giving so generously of your time, your prayers, your love and your commitment. This church and the whole Chaplaincy could not exist without you!
We are particularly grateful to those who participate in our Count Me In planned giving scheme and indeed those who give in other ways. Our level of (regular) giving is growing and that will be a great help as we move forward into 2025.
Our End of Year Appeal
And at last, the Chaplaincy´s finances are becoming more manageable, and, unlike last year, we now have the opportunity to finish this year with a positive balance. But we are not there yet: in fact we are forecasting a modest deficit (€2-3k), but it is small enough that we believe we can bridge the gap.
Could you help us? Would you consider making a small end of year gift to the Chaplaincy, so that we might turn it round and finish the year well? If you follow this link, https://stgeorgesmalaga.com/appeal/, you can make a donation, or become a regular giver, or volunteer to take up a new responsibility within the church.
Thank you for your generosity – of money, skills and time, but also for your prayers and fellowship. Together we will build a sustainable future for our church!
