For Lent 2023, the Society of Saint John the Evangelist (SSJE), a community of monks in the Episcopal Church, based in Cambridge, MA, has produced a special issue of its Cowley Magazine which dives deep into one of the treasures of the Christian tradition: the Lord’s Prayer. With a mix of reflections written by Brothers and meditation prompts, it provides a resource to deepen one's prayer life and is recommended for use this Lent by The Right Rev Mark Edington, Bishop in Charge of the Convocation of Episcopal Churches in Europe.You can download the Lord's Prayer resource here and you can also read Bishop Edington's message for Lent, "Keeping a Good Lent: The Language of Our Hearts", here.
You are warmly invited to our 4pm Advent Sunday services in the ground-floor chapel of the Petrikirche, starting from Sunday 27th November. The services will be led by Rev Annes Nel (1st/2nd/3rd Sundays of Advent) and Rev Malcolm Rogers, who will visit from Moscow for the 4th Sunday of Advent (18th December).On Christmas Day, we will have a joint service with the Petrikirche Lutheran congregation. This service will start at 10.30am in the main (upstairs) church and will be led by Rev Michael Schwarzkopf. All are welcome!
