About Us
People are surprised to find an Anglican congregation meeting in Moscow. They are even more surprised to discover a brick Victorian church building only 10 minutes walk away from the Kremlin! But there has been an Anglican church here since 1885, and worship resumed in 1993 after the collapse of an aggressively atheistic communism.
St Andrews exists primarily to serve the English speaking ex-patriot community, whether people are here only for a few days or are resident in Moscow. But all are welcome.
We have services every Sunday at 8.30am (traditional) and 11am (for all ages), and on Wednesday at 7pm.
Our services are in English and we use the order of service used by the Church of England. We try to be a home for Anglicans of whatever tradition, celebrate communion most weeks and seek to be faithful to the Bible in our preaching. We long for people to meet with the Lord Jesus and discover the forgiveness, peace, purpose and hope of heaven which he promises all who turn to him.
We do hope that you will visit us, and that when you do, you will receive a warm welcome, meet new friends, and that you will also meet with the God who loves you, and who would, if we let him, transform us so that we might become more like Jesus.
