But the delay opened the way to much wider participation around Chaplaincy by Zoom. Archdeacon Leslie Nathaniel presided and preached for the occasion from Germany while Chaplaincy Churchwarden Terry Bevan was appointed as Bishop’s Commissary for the licensing itself. At the heart of the service was the reaffirming of the ministry of all God’s people as representatives from around Norway affirmed their readiness to work with Joanna in worship and mission and in developing the Chaplaincy’s ministry across Norway.  Archdeacon Leslie encouraged that faith find expression “in the day to day of life” and urged discernment of “what is good and what is God’s will”.
