The introit, the opening responses, the sung psalm, the anthem and the canticles - these musical elements together make a Choral Evensong which in recent years has become very popular in the Netherlands. The musical repertoire is large and wondrous and it is adds a depth to worship. Spiritual, prayerful and uplifting.Choral Evensong: Sunday 29th September at 14.30 : are welcome.
A fabulous selection of choral works for daily Evensongs and a Sunday Eucharist plus a lot of hard work from the choir made all the services quite wonderful. Each evening the choir sang a different Magnificent and Nunc Dimittis plus an anthem. Psalms were also sung, some as long as three pages with different chants - it was quite a feat but meant really special worship for anyone there that week.The Choral services were also live streamed, with hundreds listening at each service. Well done the Choir and Martin van Bleek, the Choral Director.
After a short break, the group started again and we are now celebrating 2 years! And to celebrate the children gave the group a new, modern name - CC Squad. The group has a range of ages with differentiated activities and all children and young people are welcome.
