Our Book Club meets again on Zoom on 27 November. To prepare us for Advent, this month's read is 'The Road to Daybreak' by Henri J.M. Nouwen. All are welcome.

In the mid 1980s, Henri Nouwen took a spiritual journey from a privileged position as a professor at Harvard Divinity School to come to live among people with developmental disabilities at the L'Arche Daybreak Community in Canada. This, his diary, tells of his precious time of inner renewal and self-discovery.

Safeguarding

Our chaplaincy in Bonn and Cologne is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Chaplaincy Safeguarding Officer. Our Diocese of Europe’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our Safeguarding Officer. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm, please contact our Safeguarding Officer Patra Al-Saadi (safeguarding at anglicanbonncologne.de) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
