Can't get into the 'Christmas spirit' while everyone else seems to be having a good time except you? Finding things hard right now, or maybe facing Christmas alone following a bereavement or break up?
This service is for you. Yes, we'll attempt to sing a carol or two, and yes we'll read a bit of the Christmas story. But there will also be space to be honest about how we feel, and acknowledge that 'merry' just sounds hollow.
On the longest night of the year, 21st December, @ 18:00. All who need it are welcome.

SAFEGUARDING

"The parish of Sydenham: St Bartholomew is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Southwark’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
