ELECTORAL ROLL RENEWAL - a message to all
Dear Christian friends,As we previously mentioned, it is now time to make a new Electoral Roll for our Chaplaincy. Once made, the new Roll will apply for the next six years. While gathering names for the new list, we are taking this opportunity to revise our general circulation list to keep us compliant with Data Protection (GDPR) regulations.
Please read the attached covering letter from Alan Wellstead our Electoral Roll Officer, in which he explains the importance of the Roll and how to apply. The closing date for applications is Sunday 23rd March. At the bottom of the letter is a simple slip to return: it provides for two options - to be entered on the Electoral Roll, or not to be entered on the Roll, but to remain on our contact and mailing lists for Friday Focus and other church messages. If we receive no response to the request, then we will be unable to include you in our contact and mailing list after the closing date.
The second attachment is the Electoral Roll application form itself. The Electoral Roll Officer needs to hold a physically signed copy of your application: there are two ways to provide this. The first is to print and sign your form and return it to a Church Officer or by post to the Chaplaincy address. Alternatively, please print and sign your form, then scan it and return it as an attachment by email. Copies of the form will be available in church for those who prefer not to respond to emails.Si vous souhaitez obtenir de l'aide en français pour répondre à vos questions ou remplir le formulaire, veuillez vous adresser au secrétaire du Conseil ou à l'un des ministres. If you have any questions, please ask the Electoral Roll Officer or any Chaplaincy Council member as soon as possible.
If you wish to reflect on the spiritual as well as the practical implications of being a Roll member Fr Chris wrote about this in the October 2024 magazine - a copy of that article is also attached in case you missed it and wish to read it.Thank you for your continuing support: as always we ask for a share in your prayers -
Lord Jesus Christ,
thank you for calling us to be a Church under the banner of your Name:
may we look to you today and find clear vision for tomorrow.
May our life together bring you glory,
as you make of us a living invitation to enter the joy of your Kingdom. Amen
Yours in Christ,
Alan Wellstead (ERO) and Fr Chris Probert (Priest)
