During Advent 2019 Father Philip shared his spiritual experiences in Brazil as part of his Sabbatical.

These included seeing a Pillar of Fire as well as celebrating the creation of the first ever home grown saint for the country in 600 years.

He was particularly impressed by all the many obvious signs of Christianity in daily life not least the towering figure of Christ The Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro. The artistry of Aleijadinho was also most inspiring In the towns of Minas Gerais.
