Welcome to St. Clement’s, a vibrant English-speaking community located in the centre of Prague – with both expats and locals worshipping together in English in the heart of this beautiful city, the “City of a Hundred Spires” and a jewel of Central Europe, since 1904 (with some interruptions during the World Wars and under Communism).
St. Clement’s belongs to the worldwide Anglican communion of Churches within the Church of England Diocese in Europe, and whether you are a tourist waiting for your Sunday afternoon flight home or the return to your river cruise, a short term resident here on assignment or a long term Prague veteran, we invite you to come and join us any and every Sunday of the year at 11am at St. Clement’s church, Klimentská 5, Prague 1 to enjoy Church of England Sung Communion together with hymns both traditional and modern, accompanied by our fabulous organ and choir. In addition we celebrate Evensong based on the 1662 Book of Common Prayer twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays. Please see our Calendar of Events page for further details on all our services and events.
There is a Children’s Ministry during most Sunday services (except for the holiday months of July and August each year), as well as restroom facilities and a small area at the back of the church specially set up with toys and craft materials to keep the littlest ones entertained within eyeshot when there is no Children’s Ministry – and there are other regular events throughout the year where you can take part too, from an annual auction to picnics, film nights and concerts – see our Calendar of Events page for further details.
On our website you can find out everything you need to know to join us and join in, the history of Anglicanism in Prague and the history of our church at Klimentská 5, our comprehensive Safeguarding measures that are in place, and even details that you need to know if you wish to hold your wedding here or have the sad duty of organising a Remembrance Service for a loved one. Perhaps you are curious about who St. Clement was? Almost every other question you can think of is answered on our FAQs page. We also have a Young Adult Group for those between 18 and 35, and you can follow its Instagram too. So as you can see, we are a thriving community!
If you are located in Brno we also have a growing Anglican community there and you can find further details here and on brnoanglican.cz.
