On Saturday 26 September, our church hosted an ordination for 3 deacons and one priest. This type of service would normally take place in a cathedral, but as Brussels had been declared ‘code red’ and the Sint-Elisabethkerk is one of the largest churches in our diocese, we were asked to help, and of course, we said 'Yes'.Read more about the ordinations in Bishop Robert's blog post here.More photos can be found on our Facebook page here.
Our Chaplain Stephen has become a Canon of the Diocese in Europe. The collation took place during Morning Prayers led by Bishop Robert on Friday 25 September 2020. Congratulations Canon Stephen Murray!!
The Diocese in Europe invites everyone to join their Jubilee for the Earth Service to mark Creationtide, to be streamed live on their YouTube channel on Friday 18 September at 1800.The service will be lead by Bishops Robert and David with guest preacher, Bishop Nicholas Holtam, Bishop of Salisbury and the Church of England's lead bishop on environmental issues.This service marks a great opportunity to gather together to mark Creationtide as we focus on our duty to preserve the gifts we have received in God’s creation and be prayerful and active in our efforts to tackle the climate emergency and campaign for action.
