Our new Senior Chaplain

Church_news
We are overjoyed to announce that from 1 January 2025, The Revd Dr Myron Bradley Penner is to become the Senior Chaplain of St John's Anglican Church, Gent.

Myron is currently in Canada with his family, but has sent this message for us.

'Jodi and I are extremely excited to be joining you as Senior Chaplain in Ghent. We have much to learn about you and from you and look forward to what God has for us among you. It is hard for us to believe that we will be there in a few short weeks and we can’t wait to meet all of you in person. Please know that you have been in our prayers and in our hearts. There have been many challenges for us - and I am sure for you too - in this process leading us to you, but, as St Paul tells us in I Thessalonians, we know that the One who calls us is faithful, and He will surely do what He promises. So we trust, that we soon will be with you and that God will sustain us all until we all are well-met in January 2025.'

What a wonderful way to begin the new (church) year!
