Elsdon: St Cuthbert

Welcome to St Cuthbert's in Elsdon - we are glad you found us!

The church is open to visitors every day (usually 9am-5pm) as a quiet place for contemplation, prayer and exploration.  St. Cuthbert's has a long and interesting history, details of which can be found as you go around the church. The oldest stone is from Roman times, with Saxon burial stones, medieval building works from 12th century onwards, and Victorian alterations creating a complex building that speaks of the long Christian history of our area. For full details see the 'History of St Cuthbert's Church' in our 'News' section.

All are very welcome to join our communion service at 6pm on the first Sunday of every month, and to the various events detailed in the 'What's On' and 'News' sections.  We look forward to welcoming you.
