About Us

This church was once the smallest in the Diocese. It is situated about a quarter of a mile from the Village, where the Pennine Way crosses the main A68 road. It was formerly a chapel under Elsdon parish and is now a part of the Bellingham/Otterburn Group.

St. Francis opened fully in 2021 after major repairs to the North side.  We are open 24 hours a day for prayer and contemplation.  We look forward to welcoming you to St. Francis.
