The Good Shepherd

CHARD'S ANGLO-CATHOLIC CHURCH

We celebrate Mass every Sunday at 9:45am and we extend a warm welcome to anyone wishing to join us. Children and families are always welcome and there is a children's area with toys and other resources.

Our services are also live-streamed on Facebook and, if you are unable to tune in live, you can watch them on catch up on our Vimeo page: Church of the Good Shepherd (vimeo.com)

For upcoming special services and events, please click the 'Services and Events' page.

Our current notice sheet can be found on the 'News and Notices' page.

In addition to our services, we regularly hold concerts and other events in the church.

Our Priest in Charge is Fr Julian Laurence SSC and we are also blessed with a wonderful team of retired clergy.

We are a parish affiliated to The Society

We receive pastoral oversight from the Bishop of Oswestry.

Safeguarding

Our parish of Chard the Good Shepherd Furnham is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Bath & Wells safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO, Barbara Dale (07966 391103 / [email protected]) or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor, Ben Goodhind (01749 588917 / [email protected]). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
