About Us
Our vision as churches in the Parish of Wisley with Pyrford is to see ourselves drawing closer to Christ and reaching further for Him. The church is not just a building contained within four walls, nor is it simply a group of people who come together once or twice a week to share services. Our aim is to be a church family that is faithful, dynamic, relevant and welcoming; drawing closer to Christ so that we can then reach further for him extending our reach into the wider community developing a strong network of disciples within the local area, through volunteering, school outreach or action days.
There are three church buildings making up the parish - two in Pyrford, the Church of the Good Shepherd and St Nicholas' Church, and Wisley Church in the neighbouring village of Wisley. Broadly speaking the services at The Church of the Good Shepherd are more contemporary and family oriented, the services at St. Nicholas’ Church are more formal and traditional, and the services at Wisley Church are informal but retaining a traditional style.
