We are delighted to announce that Rev Stephen Girling has been appointed as Interim Priest in Charge at Thorpe, subject to DBS and medical clearance. He is currently a Missioner at Bath Abbey in the Diocese of Bath & Wells. We hope that Stephen and his wife will be able to move into the vicarage in September, but details are yet to be confirmed.

Stephen says: “Diane and I are looking forward to moving into Guildford Diocese and serving Thorpe parish and the congregation of St. Mary’s Church. My heart is to be a Christian presence in the community, to lead and disciple people in unity and mission, with a spirituality focussed in the eucharist and contemplative prayer. We are delighted to be joining you and sharing our lives with you”.
