Christianity Explored talk

Occuring
for 1 hour
Venue
Frensham: St Mary the Virgin
Address
Frensham: St Mary the Virgin, The Street Frensham, GU10 3EA, United Kingdom

Exploring Christianity comprises a series of talks to interest, inform and inspire those who wish to learn more about the divine in religious paintings, literature, poetry, music, architecture, science and people. The series explores the notable achievements of extraordinary Christian men and women who were driven by profound belief. This month historian Roy Waight will inspire us about Michelangelo, a painter, sculptor, architect and poet and universally regarded as one of the great artists of the Italian Renaissance. So super-human were his achievements that many of his contemporaries believed that his genius was literally divine.
The Talks are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 6.00pm in St Mary's Church Hall, last about 40 minutes and are followed by informal discussion over wine and canapés. Everyone is most welcome to join us.

Dockenfield: The Church of the Good Shepherd

The Church of the Good Shepherd, Dockenfield was built in 1911 and is a beautiful example of the arts and crafts movement and architecture of the period.  It is a Chapel of Ease to St Mary the Virgin in Frensham.
