About Us

The historic church of St Martha-on-the-Hill is the parish church for the parish of Chilworth. It is on the ancient Pilgrim's Way and is a unique place. You have to climb the hill to get there (although these days it is possible to come up by car). Every Sunday at 11.15am we worship from the Book of Common Prayer, alternating between Morning Prayer (Mattins) and Holy Communion.

Apart from services, the Church is open on Saturdays and Sundays as below:

St Martha’s is open at the following times although all opening hours (aside from Sunday Services) are subject to change without notice:

                      November to April                  May to October

Saturday:     09.30 -14.30                              10.00 - 15.00
Sunday:        10.00 - 15.00                             10.00 - 15.00
