These are Lent & Easter events this year.
Our Sunday Eucharist at 9.30am will include a procession from the Church Institute to the church and Blessing of the Palms
On Palm Sunday at 6.30pm our Music department will present Stainer's Crucifixion, a meditation on Christ's Passion for choir and congregation. More details to come.
At 12.00 noon on Monday and Tuesday of Holy Week we remember the Stations of the Cross - do join us for one or both of these quiet services of prayer and reflection
On 17th April at 7.30pm we will meet for a special sung service of Holy Communion remembering Christ's Last Supper. This will include foot-washing for those who wish.
On Maundy Thursday from 9.00pm to midnight we hold a Watch of Prayer (silence and readings) in the Lady Chapel, transformed with candles and foliage into the Garden of Gethsemane. Join us for as short or as long a time as you like.
On Good Friday from 12.00 noon to 3.00pm we are holding Three Hours' Devotion, in two parts. From 12.00-1.20pm our Vicar will lead a service of reflections and readings, and from 1.30-3.00pm she'll be supported by the choir for the Liturgy of Good Friday, which will include Veneration of the Cross. You need not stay the whole time - come and go as you wish.
At 6.00am on Easter Sunday all are welcome to the Service of Light, when we bring the light of Christ into the church, and hold the first Communion of Easter. During this service the Vicar will sing the ancient 'Exsultet' and we shall renew our baptismal vows
On Easter Day at 9.30am everyone is welcome to join us as we celebrate the Resurrection with the choir and Holy Communion. This service will include a Baptism.
