Albury: St Peter & St Paul

Welcome!

We would love to greet you at our church in the heart of the Surrey Hills, part of the Diocese of Guildford and the United Benefice of Shere, Albury and Chilworth.

Whatever your age or background, whether you live here or visit, join us to find out about the message of Jesus. What does it mean for life’s journey? If you meet us, we hope you discover not just people who go to church, but friends who want to support each other and serve the world God loves, for which Jesus died and rose again. We value people of all ages and run particular family-friendly events and services.

Our parish extends from Newlands Corner to the edge of Winterfold Forest. We have two active church buildings and a lot of history!

Morning Service

Occurring
Every Sunday at for 1 hour
Venue
Albury: St Peter & St Paul
Address
Church Lane Albury Guildford, GU5 9AJ, United Kingdom

We meet every Sunday at 9.30 and the service lasts about an hour. Everybody is very welcome!

The service will be normally be either 'Worship for Everyone', or a Common Worship Communion Service. Worship for Everyone is less formal, uses more contemporary worship songs than our Communion services, and we try to make specific provision for children. The Communion Services are more traditional in feel but not overly formal. Whatever you come to, we will welcome you warmly.

Worship for everyone is usually on the first and third Sundays, and Communion on the second and fourth, with the format on fifth Sundays varying. This pattern can change for special seasons. Fuller details can be found on our website under 'What's on'.

We livestream Worship for Everyone, and the Zoom link can be found on www.alburychurches.org, at the top of the page.

Messy Church included an instant nativity this month.

Safeguarding

The parish of Albury is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO), Sarah Stevens. The Diocese of Guildford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA or PSO. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
