Holmbury Church
Holmbury Church welcomes you! We are a warm, friendly village church in the centre of the beautiful village of Holmbury St Mary.
Please join us for our weekly services in the church at 10am on most Sundays. You can also find 'Self-Services' on our website. These contain parts of the church services and can be accessed at any time. Click this link for the recorded sermons, hymns and more https://www.holmburychurch.com/sunday-worship-resources.
The first Sunday of the month is slightly different. We usually have a 9.30am short said Holy Communion. This is followed by our Funday with refreshments at 10.15am and the activities start about 10.30am. These may include joining in with the dramatised reading, crafts and songs.
Finally, 5th Sundays & during August, we join the other churches in the benefice. So please look at our own Website for details of where those services will be. Click this link to go to the Holmbury Church webpages https://www.holmburychurch.com/.
We're an active church community, ranging in age from 0 - 90+ and serving the village community and reaching out to the wider world.
The parish of Holmbury St. Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Guildford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.

Most churches are “Excepted Charities” and are therefore not registered with the Charity Commission. You can download a PDF that includes your church name, address and church code. This PDF, which is an extract from the Church of England’s database of churches, can serve as a certificate for churches requiring proof of their charity status when registering for online and card-based giving. Click on the download button below and fill in the short form. You will then be emailed the certificate as a PDF.
