Glorious Dust - Real Humanity in Light of the Cross

We live in a time of unprecedented confusion about the value and purpose of human life, gender and relationships. How does the cross of Jesus Christ reveal and redeem what it means to be truly human?

This second session looks at the theme of Fe-/male flourishing in an age of toxic confusion.

In theory we live in the most advanced, 'progressive' society ever when it comes to mainstream attitudes regarding sex and gender. In reality, many of us feel more confused and anxious than ever. Where our grandparents mostly had stable and well-understood assumptions, nowadays it is considered a deeply divisive and risky-laden question to ask "what is a (wo)man?" Is there a non-bigoted, non-toxic, non-absurd way to engage these questions? Is there any way past a 'battle of the sexes' – where female empowerment means male disempowerment?

Join us for honest conversation, teaching and reflection from the Christian tradition All welcome!
