Our rota changes in December so we can have all the special Advent and Christmas services:

3rd     6.30pm Advent Carol Service - This traditional service commences in darkness and, as the service unfolds, more and more candles are lit as the choir procession moves from west to east.

10th   9am BCP Holy Communion
4pm Christingle - This is the service where the children are given an orange with a candle in it, surrounded by sweets on cocktail sticks. Families and children especially welcome.

17th   4.30pm  Carols by Candlelight - At our Carol Service this year come and see the church lit by candlelight. We’ll sing favourite carols, to be followed by mulled wine and mince pies.

24th   11pm Midnight Mass

25th   11am Family Service
followed by optional said BCP Holy Communion

Whimple: St Mary

The parish of Whimple: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, (PSO). The Diocese of Exeter’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
