We welcome the return of ‘Hexachordia’ (www.hexachordia.com) to St Peter’s Church, Neatishead on Saturday 10th May at 7pm. Hexachordia will be presenting a celebration of the English garden in music and words called “All in a Garden Green”. Playing on authentic copies of original instruments from the Medieval and Tudor eras such as the harp, recorders, gittern, lutes and viols, the group performs music inspired by formal gardens and the English countryside. This music is interspersed with readings contemporary with the pieces, reflecting on the evolution of the English garden through to the seventeenth century. We hope that proceeds from this concert, which is being generously sponsored by a parishioner will bring us to the final conclusion of our bell and tower refurbishment fundraising total.
