A Baptism (also called a Christening) is a sacrament and a sign of our belonging to God’s family and a milestone in all of our lives. It is a wonderful occasion of celebration.
We celebrate Baptisms at our 10:00 am Sunday Parish Eucharist, as the sacrament is about entering into our community - we want to publicly welcome you into the faith!
To arrange a Baptism, please come to a service on a Sunday and speak to a member of the clergy, who will be more than happy to guide you through the simple process. It all starts with a conversation.
As a Baptism is a celebration both for you and the community, families often arrange flowers, special music and a reception after the service.
Both children or adults can be baptised. If you are interested in adult baptism, the clergy can prepare you and explore the faith you before you get baptised, as well as discussing whether you want to be Confirmed as well.
